Today in Golf History

On this date in 1870, Harry Vardon was born in Grouville, Jersey on the Channel Islands. Vardon is best known for winning 6 British Open titles between the years of 1896 to 1914. He is also known for making the “Vardon Grip” popular. Harry Vardon passed away on March 20, 1937 leaving behind one of Golf’s greatest legacies.

So what are the other grips called?

"Ten-fingered, baseball grip"; "interlocking grip" and the equally famous "one-handed, toss the wedge in the lake, grip"
